MVMT Nordic Walking Teaching Tips - pole planting techniques and transitions Part 2
MVMT Nordic Walking Teaching Tips - this video is the second of a two parter, looking at some of the different methods of pole planting that can be used for Nordic Walking and how they can be thought of in terms of rhythm, timing and technique.
Once the fundamentals of the Nordic Walking Technique are at the 'acquired' phase of learning and you feel confident, different pole carriage or pole planting techniques can be adapted to help move over terrain with fluidity.
Practicing the different techniques on flat ground first and building seamless transitions between pole planting techniques that range from one time, two time, three time to the 'hold' can then be used when out and about on more varied and technical terrain.
Above all, my belief is that the poles are there to enhance the experience of being outdoors, whether you use them to support joints or to ease tension in the neck and shoulders or to propel you forwards and upwards, go out and play!
Let me know if these tips help you🙏
