Sarah is a Pilates Instructor, Nordic Walking Instructor, Ski Instructor and Sports Massage Therapist based in the Peak District.

 

With its strong roots in healing and rehabilitation, Sarah turned to Pilates pre and post back surgery, integrating it into her lifestyle to gain strength, improve posture and reduce pain.

 

Pilates is low impact, low intensity and inclusive which allows Sarah to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, using her creative, enthusiastic and motivational style of teaching so they can enjoy movement for life.

Nordic Walking: Nordic Walking Instructor (British Nordic Walking), Nordic Walking for Parkinson's and Related Conditions.

 

Skiing:  BASI Adaptive Level 2 and Alpine Level 2 Ski Instructor, BASI Common Theory, BASI Alpine Race Coach Level 1, SSE Moguls Coach Level 2, SSE Roller Skiing Course

Movement: Mindful Movement, RockTape Level 1 Movement Coach, RockTape IASTM Certified, VTCT Sports Massage Practitioner, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage for the Neck, Certified RockDoc Level 2

Food: The Vegetarian Society Chef's Diploma

Sarah originally trained in Modern Pilates which was developed by Physiotherapists and Pilates Practitioners to bring a clinical and contemporary approach to the original Joseph Pilates exercises. 

 

Sarah has continued her Pilates training, constantly learning and evolving as a teacher and practitioner.    Most recently she has completed courses in Pilates for Menopause, Neuro Pilates, HealthyHIT™ Pilates Levels 1&2 (APPI) and Pilates for Kids and Teens (APPI).  Her Pilates expertise has been further complimented by the study and practice of Therapeutic Yoga and Mindful Movement,  which give her a unique approach when it comes to helping people to enjoy better quality movement.
